Big Changes in Video Marketing

1. YouTube videos are now listed in the video.google.com video search index.

2. YouTube has announced that they will start revenue sharing with video

publishers.

Chad Hurley, co-founder of YouTube, said Saturday 27th January 2007 that his

wildly successful site YouTube.com will start sharing revenue with its millions

of users.

What affect has this had on the internet marketing community, to date, very

little it seems. It appears the internet marketing community is slow on the pick

up in relation to video marketing on the internet.

Here is a quote from a very large and popular internet marketing forum about

video marketing "I always thought to rank well in a video search engine you

have to have a good catchy video that is viral. This will help to get people

embeded the Google code into their site giving it more popularity and then

Google will know this and rank it higher."

This is simply not the case. That is like saying, build a great

website and the money will come, e.g. a Million dollar website not indexed in

the search engines is worth exactly 0 dollars. This is the same with video on

YouTube and video.google.com. You may have the funniest or most inspiring video

ever made but if it is not seen by anybody, you have just wasted a lot of time

and energy producing it. When you have literally tens of thousands of people

submitting videos each day the competition is fierce in terms of getting your

videos to the next stage, which is listed on the high ranking lists, which is

what you need to do to get maximum exposure to your videos.

Since Google.com has purchased YouTube there was much speculation about how

and what this would affect the video community as a whole, this weekend we have

seen that Video.google.com has now added the entire YouTube Video collection to

its database effectively tripling the video.google.com video database. The true

effects of this merge have yet to be seen, though those of us who regularly

monitor the top 100 results in video.google.com will see that nothing much has

changed in the top 100. Though videos that ranked well for specific niches have

been pushed down the VERPS (Video Engine Ranking Positions) e.g. videos that for

the last 6 months ranked in the top 5 for the search term Diet Coke Mentos, have

now been pushed down the VERPS to the second page and replaced by videos from

youtube.com.

Now Enters Youtube.com announcing that they will start revenue sharing,

simply put, sharing the revenue generated by advertising surrounding the video

content similar to what sites like

http://www.thevideosense.com (sharing 50%)is doing currently with their video

publishers. How they plan to do this and how much they will be sharing has not

yet been released, the leaders in the video marketing community are hoping it

will be a lot. There has been no mention of their terms and conditions relating

to the video content that will qualify for revenue sharing, most likely this is

one of their strategies to increase their fresh video content being submitted to

YouTube and trying to eliminate their members submitting copyright material

which has caused them so much grief up to date.

At the very least, Since the recent YouTube announcement this will get the

attention of the internet marketing community now that there is the added

possibility of making money from videos.

There are huge changes happening on the internet right now. This is a ground

floor opportunity to be right at the forefront of Internet Video Marketing. Its

pretty much an even playing field right now. There has never been a better

opportunity to be involved.

New on the internet marketing scene is the Video SEO competition Held by

Peter Drew, this was designed to help 1. encourage internet marketers to get

involved in video marketing and 2. to teach these people interested the skills

needed to rank highly and get targeted traffic to their websites via freely

hosted video content.

Keep an eye on Peter Drews blog for up to date information on every thing

related to Video Marking on the Internet.

How to Find the Best YouTube Videos

One of the greatest features of YouTube is the RSS feed system that it uses. It is also can be used to find the latest videos that are quickly growing in popularity. By fine tuning your RSS feed you can get the funny comedy videos that you want to see delivered right to your browser. Fortunately some websites have taken advantage of this and have integrated this feature into their site so you can watch all the funny YouTube videos right on one site without having to do all the work.

Other wise you can save the funny video feeds to your computer so that you can browse them for yourself and get the best YouTube videos delivered right to your desktop. You can also set up feeds to capture your favorite YouTube channels or YouTube video shows so that you won't miss your favorite webisodes. Other neat functions are that you can use feeds to search keywords so you can view new videos of interest to you based on your favorite keyword. The best way to keep updated on the latest comedy videos is to keep watching the latest video feeds. Once you have your own customized feeds you can share your favorite videos with your friends and family by sending them your feeds. You can always find more information at the site below.

The Rebirth of the Video Jockey: Viral Videos and Comedy

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 10 years, you'll know this stark truth: the 'M' in MTV does not mean music anymore. Because of a change in public perception, music video are no longer an acceptable format to run between advertisements. First, if there's a video you want to see, you no longer have to wait for it, thanks to YouTube. You can also see covers of that song ad infinitum, remixes, mash-ups, live performances, and probably cats falling off of tall objects perfectly timed to said music. Second, with the music industry crumbling, the labels and record companies no longer have the same influence to make national stars with the same clout, like a Madonna or N'sync (I always forget where that apostrophe goes). Everyone's taste in music is very different and as time goes on, it's becoming more refined and succinct. Sub-genres of wizard rock and crunkcore have millions of hits online, yet a poll would reveal that an overwhelming majority of the population have never even heard of these musical offshoots. This has left little interest in the Top 40 and pre-teen stars of yesteryear, and therefore have left video jockeys (the hosts who would guide you through these videos on television) in search of other professions.

But in the past few years, a resurgence of video jockeys have made their way through another form of entertainment: laughter. With the 24 hours of video that are uploaded every minute to YouTube, a need for an editor to find funny videos that will go viral and become the next topic at the watercooler has emerged. And shows like Tosh.0, Web Soup and Ridiculousness, along with internet sensation Ray William Johnson, are filling the void that America's Funniest Videos solely clung to for two decades. These shows are very popular; Tosh.0 is currently the highest ranked show on Comedy Central, and RWJ's YouTube channel gets over a million hits per video. Some cable shows would kill for those numbers, because the more eyes you have, the higher you can charge for advertising.

This leads to the question: why have these video clips of failures and cats become so popular, while the music video has declined so far? Well, it all boils down to a simple fact: laughter is universal. You don't need to understand what Daniel Tosh is saying to understand why someone falling from a table they shouldn't be on is funny. And while we could all sit at a computer and search through countless hours of video to find gems, who has the time to piece it all together in a montage, with funny commentary? These people have teams of researchers and writers, who do this as their daily job, scouring the internet for the next 'chocolate rain'. Over time, they build trust in knowing that what they ultimately showcase will be worth the audience's time, solidifying themselves as experts in a new frontier of editorial glory (sidenote: if you've ever been an editor, you'll know that there is absolutely zero glory. Just lots of muck. And coffee.)

Though currently the competition is low, as is the entry bar, for becoming one of these vjs. All one needs is a camera and some editing software, or even just a blog. One can monetize through AdSense and other affiliate products, and become a new sensational gatekeeper of comedy. In a few years, this new frontier of video jockeying will become saturated and we will split off into new factions of groups who will base their humor on their most trusted host. But for now, let's all sit back and laugh at more cats. Meow.

A Tutorial on Watching YouTube Videos From an iPhone

Are you a big fan of YouTube? If you're anything like me, then you endlessly spend the day looking for the newest and funniest video clips uploaded. Well, thanks to Apple's iPhone, we video addicts now have our golden fleece. The iPhone lets us enjoy videos wherever we are.

One of the best functions that Apple is using the sell the iPhone is its online video watching capabilities through YouTube. This allows owners to watch any video they want from a library of millions with a constant stream of new ones being uploaded everyday. What's great about the IPhone is that users can explore all these new videos and old favorites without learning a whole new search process on the iPhone's easy to use platform.

Here is a quick and easy tutorial on how to watch these videos:

To begin with touch or tap the "YouTube" icon from the main screen of your iPhone. The icon should look like a tiny television on your screen. Touching this directs you to YouTube's main page.

Once you're on the main page of YouTube, find the "Search" button to get started. One common mistake most beginner iPhone users make is when typing in keywords; they forget to lightly touch the space for keywords. There needs to be contact with the keyword field or you're doing a lot of typing for nothing.

Use either specific or broad keywords to find any new videos on YouTube's site. The virtual keypad makes it quite simple type in words that can help you locate any specific video you want.

Now that you on the "Search Results" page, highlight the icon labeled "Video" of a YouTube result that may work for you search query. To access the video, use your index finger to press down on the icon. Any accompanying information the video has will be displayed.

Begin the quick play options by tapping the "Play" icon for the selected video. It will be centered on the bottom of the screen. You can also skip other viewing options to go directly to the video.

By touching the space outside of the main video screen, you can access the YouTube and iPhone video tools. Tools, such as "Rewind" and "Fast Forward", allow you to watch the video at your own pace. There is also a sliding bar which lets you pick any spot in the video to start from or go back to.

The iPhone also allows to you to create your own icons and video tool bar with the "Edit" tool. This feature is found by clicking on the "More" icon at the top of the phone.

The Funniest Videos on the Web and Their Core Truths

There is a reason why numerous video websites are extremely popular amongst young and old people all around the world. People Love to see the the funniest videos as well as see what the newest crazy things that people are coming up with just to get a laugh. But what it is that takes a video out of the amusing category and puts it into the truly funniest video category? There are a few factors important factors that definitely come into play in making a truly funny video.

1. Someone gets hurt without knowing its going to happen. For some reason, as long as they are not truly injured in a paralyzing way but are more stunned than anything, someone getting hurt is just plain funny. It can also be an animal that is getting hurt, it does not have to be a human for it to be funny. There is a video of a guy who goes and gets his glass of milk from the fridge and then shuffles over to put his slippers on, which have been nailed to the floor by some loving friend, and mid shuffle all of a sudden he smashes into the floor face first and his milk goes everywhere. There is not a single person who has seen the video in my presence who has not died laughing, there is just something about the mundane turned into pain that is amusing! They claim that it was the funniest video they have ever seen and watched it several more times before sending it to their friends. I would have to say that this is one the major things out of the three listed here that makes a video truly funny if the person is not truly heart. It will automatically make your video the funniest video on the web.

2. Taking it one step further. If something is funny in every day life, just capturing it on video Is not usually enough to make it truly one of the funniest video; but its just enough to get a smile. On video you have to find that one perfect step further. There is a video on YouTube called Doing it wrong. Its set in an office setting and it features a guy who is doing the jerking off motion, only he is doing it wrong, it much too slow, he's making eye contact in a creepy way, tries to do it on another guy, even finishes in the end, and it is downright hilarious. You do have to be carefully, however in toeing the line between one step further and one step too far.

3. Kids doing something adult. Prompting a kid to do something that they really should not be doing just seems to be very funny to everyone but their mom. Their cute little baby way of talking just adds so much to grown up phrases and if you get them to laugh you cant help but smile with them. There was a video that Will Ferrell and his best friend put out earlier this year that featured Will Ferrell as the tenant who owed back rent and his best friends little daughter as the landlady. The little girl was walking around in the video, cute as a button, carrying a beer bottle that was almost as big as she was and cursing at Will Ferrell about how he needed to pay her the money that he owed her and it was the talk of everyone who saw it for weeks after it came out.

While there are many other aspects that come into play for a truly funny video, one of these 3 characteristics will almost always be present. Even though some of these elements are not so good they do make up the core stuff of most of the funniest videos on the web.

There are alot of popular video sites out their but to see the funniest video site ever just go to http://www.craziestvideos.net and you will see some of the craziest videos ever. It is really one heck of a site. very intresting

Online Video Directory Websites

If you are looking for some of the funniest videos available online - you might want to try a videos directory. These directories will "direct" you to all the best video clips available online. You literally can find any video you could or would possibly want. Some of the categories included for the video lips are things like; funny videos, home videos, music, news, politics, sports, television and even TV commercials!

These websites are unique in the fact that they are video sharing websites. And they aren't like YouTube! A lot of people like YT, but I am not one of these people! Instead, I look for sites such as this that will have different videos from websites all over the Internet in one stop. In fact, I like to call these "one stop shops" because all the videos that you need are right HERE!

Why go to a million different sites when you could just go to one and find everything you need?!? You wouldn't! Make it easy on yourself! These sites are really fun and fun-ny. I found a few really crazy videos that either shocked me or made me laugh hysterically! Let's check out a few excerpts from a few of these video clips!

Sports -

This is video collection of funny sports accidents (meanwhile, some clippings are no laughing matter as people were hurt in the accident). One of the most notable scenes in this video is when a woman was running in the middle of the field and was trampled by football players.

This happened when she went in front of a large poster where behind this were men, ready to break the paper and run across the field. It was really a very unfortunate event because it seems that no one told the woman not to run in front of the poster. Another notable scene happened during a football match. As the players were running across the field, they accidentally hit the cheerleaders who were doing some pyramid style formation.

Politics -

Recently, President Barack Obama guest on Jay Leno's show which is the first time in history when an incumbent head of state has been interviewed in this talk show. With this unprecedented event, many people waited for hours in line just to be part of the audience on the Tonight Show. Meanwhile, some people were offended by Obama's remark.

He said that he scored a lot only in basketball when he joins Special Olympics. After realizing that he made an offensive comment, the President recently apologized for what he said. Because this is the first time that a president was in a comedy talk program, the Tonight Show has one of the highest viewers in all-time history.

News -

The international community recently celebrated the World Water Day with a theme called Transboundary Water: Sharing Water, Sharing Opportunities. Spearheaded by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), this celebration aims to spread knowledge about the present situation of water sources which are continuously deteriorating.

According to some analysts including doomsayers water will someday become the main reason for war, instead of oil. While it may sound scary, the probability of this event is higher since people have already polluted many water sources in the world. Meanwhile, this is a video that will show how important is the water in people's lives.

Funny -

Probably the most heart-breaking for anyone is to have his/her wedding spoiled by an accident. This video compilation is about weddings which had gone wrong. Some of these are very funny, while some clips are no laughing matter especially for both the bride and groom. Probably, the most embarrassing clip from this video compilation is about a bride whose wedding dress was torn from below, exposing her underwear in front of the huge crowd.

(I wonder how embarrassing she felt when her wedding dress was accidentally torn during the matrimonial ceremony).

Another remarkable video clip is about a man who hit the ceiling after the crowd has accidentally thrown him high up in the air. Just watch the video compilation and be mortified by some wedding accidents and tragedy which had definitely ruined this special event for both the bride and groom.

You know what they say - you can burn well over 20 calories JUST from laughing and 10 from smiling. So not only are these awesome in the fact that they give you something to do, but they can also make you lose weight? Okay maybe not lose weight but still! Are interested in sports? Politics? World news? Crazy celebrities doing stupid stuff?

Then, these sites are definitely up your alley! Check them out the next time you are having a crazy day at work or you feel like having a good old laugh! I guarantee these video clips will make you feel SO much better!

Free Websites Showcase Your Videos Online

If you didn't realize that video will take over online this year, you haven't been paying attention.

Everything from video blogs to full-blown website infomercials keep cropping up all across the Internet.

The driving force behind this video explosion is a combination of cheap bandwidth, easy-to-use authoring tools, and Flash video (a video format that works on both PC and MAC).

With the sudden increase in homemade videos about everything from "how-to break dance" to infomercials about real estate products, it seems only natural that another explosion should follow: the appearance of numerous websites that showcase these homegrown Steven Spielberg's.

In fact, these online videos have gained so much popularity some have even crossed over into mainstream television.

Of the three main online video hosting services I looked at, they all shared the following characteristics.

They all allow you to upload your video and host it free of charge, making it super easy for even the most technically challenged videographer.

They all allow visitors to search their sites using keywords, so describing your video and choosing a good title (with keywords people search for) will help increase your exposure.

One of the most exciting features common to these sites is that they allow you and others to get copy-and-paste code that you can place on a blog or website (or anywhere else you can paste html code) and display a video without hosting it yourself.

This one feature can cause an explosive "viral" effect if you create a video that appeals to a mass audience because people can not only pass it along, but post it in additional locations for everyone to see.

Video.Google.com - Google's video service makes it possible to upload and play your videos for people searching through their growing catalog of homegrown video.

You'll find everything from web-cam karaoke to infomercials and "live" seminars. One of the best things about Google video is the daily report about how many pages views your video got during the previous day or week.

Also, Google allows you to charge for your videos if you want, something the other sites don't yet offer.

A disadvantage of the service is that, of the three, Google Video takes the longest to approve your videos and make them available, sometimes taking 48 hours or longer to make a video "live."

YouTube.com - YouTube seems to want to foster a feeling of community with its video portal.

Unlike Google Video, which requires a separate software program to upload video, YouTube allows users to upload video right through their website interface. Of the three sites profiled here, YouTube's embedded player makes it easiest to share and pass along video from a blog.

They also approved my video and had it live online in less than 10-minutes.

IFilm.com - The coolest thing about IFilm.com is the fact that they have a show on VH1 every Friday called "Web Junk 20" which features the funniest web videos of the week on real television.

They also actively promote the concept of "viral videos" with a separate category in their directory profiling videos you want to share.

The only negative was that their pass-along player forces viewers to watch a short ad about IFilm at the beginning, something the other two don't do.

Free Comedy - How to Find the Funniest Video Clips Online

If you want to find exclusive funny video clips from today's hottest comedians, Funny Or Die should be one of the first websites you visit. Funny or Die was started by comedian Will Ferrell and his partner Adam McKay through their Gary Sanchez production company. Funny Or Die separates itself from other funny video clip hosting sites by the way it lets people rank the videos, get enough funny votes and the video will be immortalized get enough die votes and the video will be sent into the "crypt". Another way Funny Or Die separates itself with it's free comedy is the number high profile comedians it gets to contribute. The videos with lesser known names are often by Los Angeles comedy improve teams and sketch groups. If you need a quick laugh, check out Funny Or Die's very first video clip, the Landlord staring Will Ferrell.

The Upright Citizens Brigade began as a sketch comedy troupe consisting of comedians Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts and Matt Walsh. The troupe of comedians eventually went on to star in a television show on Comedy Central that lasted for a few years. Their website UCBtheater.com is the home of the Upright Citizens Brigade, an improv comedy school, a comedy theater and host to some of the funniest comedy online today. As LA comedy students perfect their craft they also pump out funny video clips that can to be distributed online. Additionally the founding members often times contribute their own comedy, often times creating materials with the in house troupes in the LA comedy scene and NY comedy scene. If you are looking for a funny video from the Upright Citizens Brigade check out the LA comedy group Cream and their video 'We Got Your B-Roll'.

The Onion is now a premier destination for funny clips on the Internet. From college press publication, to premier destination to watch comedy online The Onion has come a long way. Like a traditional newspaper the Onion covers all aspects of the news, sports, entertainment and politics. Their satirical videos are one of the most downloaded free comedy clips online today. Great production quality makes The Onion's funny videos almost indistinguishable from an actual news broadcast. The Onion.com's video clips have become so popular online it has spawned a new show for Comedy Central called Sports Dome, focusing on their sports related satire. If you need a hilarious link to watch comedy online check out 'Sick Girl Fulfills Dream of Heckling David Wright'.

YouTube may seem like the best place to go when seeking out funny video clips online. However with YouTube's massive collection of free comedy, it's tough to sort through what comedy videos are worth checking out. Instead I would recommend checking out Youtubefunnyvideoclips.com, which picks the best free comedy on YouTube so you don't waste all day searching for funny videos. Their webpage is updated daily and is a good place to check out funny videos that will be going viral. Comedians aren't the only ones creating funny videos online, many of the greatest funny videos are created through unintentional comedy. One funny video that kept me laughing, is simply titled 'Women Falls into Fountain while Texting'.

These sites are a great help for finding funny video clips online. Often times though the easiest way to find a great free comedy video is through word of mouth. Through email and social networking funny clips are passed around from person to person, often creating a buzz drawing more attention and more views until the funny video clip reaches a saturation point with millions of views. But if you want to be a head of the game and are looking to watch free comedy online make sure to stay up to date with Funny Or Die.com, The Onion.com, UCBtheater.com and Youtubefunnyvideoclips.com.

The Real Value Behind Celebrity Videos

We live in a day and age where technology has become a staple in our day to day lives. The Internet is a phenomenon that many can not live without and with advances like Facebook, MySpace, and YouTube, the Internet has not just become a useful tool, but is also an excellent source of entertainment for many. The website YouTube is one site that is dedicated solely to the use of personal videos that are viewed for recreational purposes only. This is a site where you can find a video on just about any topic that you want. What are the most popular videos on YouTube? Those that deal with celebrity life and gossip will always be the videos scoring the biggest hits.

What is the big attraction with celebrity videos? The celebrity lifestyle is one that is deemed unattainable by the average American, so being able to get a snapshot of what a day in the life of a celebrity is like is very entertaining. Celebrities are admired and they are not only famous but they also are among the wealthiest people on the planet. For people that don't have a lot of money, being able to look at the lives of the rich and famous is an extremely entertaining venture.

Celebrity videos can take on the appearance of excerpts from talk shows or interviews, outtakes from shoots or filming that they have done, or just random videos taken by some lucky photographer that is lucky enough to get close. Most often, regardless of what the actual topic is of the video, these are the funniest videos available to the general public. Outtakes are a very comical way to see a celebrity act a little more human by creating goofs and slip-ups while on camera. Celebrities are often viewed as being perfect entities, so when these goofs are caught in film, it is very funny for the viewing public. If you can catch your favorite sports hero caught in a slip-up, their talent seems much more human than otherwise and thus, your hero seems more human as well.

Real life dramas are also seen to be amusing to the public. When a layperson can catch a glimpse of a marital fight between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, or see pop icons bleaching their children's teeth or threatening to knock out the paparazzi, the public finds this very funny. The real value then in humorous videos of celebrities lies in the sense that when we watch people that have a tendency to be idolized act like a human being, it makes us feel a little bit better about ourselves. No longer are these iconic celebrities viewed as perfect creatures that make no mistakes, when their goofs and dramas are caught on film. It is not only funny, but reassuring to see that they are not as perfect in real life as they appear on the big screen.

Funny videos can be highly amusing. Also access celebrity photos to get to see your favorites at their prettiest best. And come and find out more about Bollywood Actresses.
